Amazon Fire Stick fans can claim 200 TV stations for free with legal app and say ‘it works great’

THERE’S an Amazon Fire TV app that unlocks hundreds of channels for no cost.

The free TV app offers an enormous library of news channels – and only asks that you watch ads in exchange.

It’s called NewsON and it’s available to download directly from Amazon‘s app store.

The app promises live and local TV newscasts from over 200 stations.

You don’t need a cable subscription, and there’s no need to log in either.

It’s totally legal and there’s no initial fee to gain access to the app.

You can stream live news, but also previous newscasts from the past 48 hours.

There’s a search feature that lets you sort local news “by location”.

And you can also use the “Live Stations” tool to find out which stations are broadcasting live at any given time.


The app has under 10,000 reviews, which means one of the lesser-known free streaming options.

It holds a reasonable 3.7/5 score on Amazon, with 51% of TV fans who left reviews handing out five stars.
