Cheese Potato & Smoked Sausage Casserole

How To Make Cheese Potato & Smoked Sausage Casserole?

Cheesy Potatoes with Smoky Sausage are a cheesy and creamy side dish that is topped with sliced smoked sausage and baked till golden brown. This dish of mashed potatoes is perfect comfort food, and it may be served as a side dish or as the main course.

I like a simple side dish of Cheesy Potatoes, but there’s nothing better than a hearty meal of meat and vegetables. Every mouthful of this dish has both of these ingredients. The smoked sausage pieces in this side dish provide a wonderful salty, meaty taste that is hard to resist.

These potatoes have a fantastic cheesy flavor. It’s similar to mac and cheese, except instead of pasta, it’s potatoes. I make a cheese sauce out of a mix of Velveeta and strong cheddar cheese. Some people dislike Velveeta cheese, but I like how creamy and smooth it makes the cheese sauce when combined with other ingredients. Because the cheese sauce is made using Velveeta, there is no danger of it breaking or becoming gritty. In addition to the Velveeta, a cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese brings the cheese taste to a whole new level.

FOR THIS CHEESY CASSEROLE, YOU ONLY NEED:

5 medium Potatoes, I boiled and diced them.

500 grams.Of skinless smoked sausage.

500 grams. Of « Velveta » cheese, I cut it into small cubes.

500 ml.Of milk.

½ Cup.Of shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

4 small spoons.Of soft butter.

4 small spoons.Of flour.

1/2 small spoon.Of salt.

1/4 small spoon.Of pepper.

A lite pinch.Of smoked paprika.

AND FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO MAKE IT:

Step 1:

We started the preparation by slicing the Skinless smoked sausage in half lengthwise and then into 12-inch –half-moon– pieces.

Step 2:

Then, we cooked the sliced sausage for approximately 15 minutes in a cast iron pan, turning regularly, until slightly browned.

Step 3:

After that, we chose a 2-quart saucepan and combined the boiled and diced potatoes with the cooked sausage adding it gently and stirring nicely.

Step 4:

In a skillet over medium heat, we combined all the ingredients except the shredded cheddar cheese and smoked paprika until everything was warm and soft.

Step 5:

Over the potatoes and sausage, we poured the white cheese sauce, and sprinkled the shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top, followed by an equal layer of smoked paprika.

Step 6:

After that, we baked it for at least 35 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit in a preheated oven and kept an eye on it until the top was totally golden brown.

“I’ve cooked this dish many times and can say with absolute certainty that it has been Family Tested and Approved!!” I hope you’ll Enjoy this creamy delicious casserole as everyone in this world do!!
