This is a recipe that has been asked of me many times, and which I am sure will be appreciated by all. A bread that melts in your mouth, with a sweet taste and easy to make, it is the famous cornbread (or corn bread).

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 40 minutes

Ingredients for the cornbread – cornbread

° 140 g of corn flour (one cup)

° 2 eggs

° 115 g butter (1/2 cup)

° 125 g flour (1 cup)

° 2 g Alsatian yeast or baking soda (1/2 teaspoon)

° 135 g white sugar (2/3 cup)

° 3 g of salt (1/2 teaspoon)

° 235 ml Buttermilk (1 cup)

* Preparation :

Preheat oven to 175 ° C

Butter a square dish

Melt butter in a pan Remove from the heat and add the sugar

Quickly add the eggs and beat until a smooth dough is obtained

Separately, mix the butter

milk and the baking soda

Add this mixture to the panAdd the flour, corn flour, and salt

Mix well
