Another Crab’s Treasure is a colorful Soulslike set in an underwater world on the verge of collapse from too much trash, and aims to be the first “Souls game that’s cute.” You play as Kril, a hermit crab who is forced to wear trash for protection after his shell is repossessed by a Loan Shark. The trash is spreading a disease called the Gunk, which is corrupting the crabs and destroying their society, so Kril sets out on a mission to find his shell and possibly help the ocean repel the invading disease.
There are over 20 bosses to battle on the way, as well as a host of different shells to collect, which offer a plethora of special abilities, powerful attacks to master called Umami Techniques, and more. It looks like a fantastic bit of fun, so we’re looking forward to jumping in. Another Crab’s Treasure launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow, while also arriving in Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Developer Aggro Crab recently told us about its experience with Game Pass, saying that the service has “been a boon so far.”
