Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

* Ingredients:


°4 cups (8 slices) cubed white bread

°1/2 cup raisins

°2 cups of milk

°1/4 cup butter

°1/2 cup sugar

°2 eggs, lightly beaten

°1 tablespoon of vanilla

°1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

+Sauce Ingredients:

°1/2 cup butter

°1/2 cup sugar

°1/2 cup heavy whipped cream

°1 tablespoon of vanilla

* How to make:

+Pudding:

Heat the oven to 350°F.

Combine bread and raisins in a large bowl.Blending milk and 1/4 c butter in 1-quart saucepan.

Cook over medium heat until the butter is melted (4 to 7 minutes). Pour milk mix on bread; let stand 10 min.Stirring in all rest pudding ingredients.

Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart saucepan.Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until center is set.

+Sauce:

Combine all sauce ingredients except vanilla in a 1 liter saucepan.Cooking on heat, stirring occasionally, until mix thick and comes to a full boilRemove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

To serve, spoon hot pudding into individual dessert cups; serve with sauce. Keep refrigerated1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

+Pudding:

Heat oven to 350°F.Combine bread also raisins in bowl.Blend milk and 1/4 c butter in 1-quart saucepan. Cooking on heat to butter is melted (4 to 7 min).

For milk mixture over bread; let stand 10 minutes.Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart saucepan.

Baking for 40 to 50 min Sauce:

Blend all sauce ingredients exceptly vanilla in 1-quart saucepan.Take off the heat and stir in vanilla.To serve, spoon warm pudding into individual dessert dishes; served with sauce.

Store refrigerated1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
