PlayStation finally launches major player-requested feature

Change happens. It might happen at a snail’s pace, but eventually players will get what they want; PlayStation has introduced a highly requested player feature, and finally the world makes sense again.

You can get trophies on PC.

That’s right, it’s finally become reality. Better still, the acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be the first game to showcase this technological marvel (that’s sarcasm, folks).

PlayStation announced this big move on Twitter, and as you’d expect, gamers had zero chill about it. Not just because they now get trophies, but because the new PS “overlay” will include your settings, profile, and friends list too.

“Thats actually pretty great,” read one post, before adding, “The next step is a PSN store with cross-play on PC. Would be awesome if my games owned on PS5 could be playable on PC too.”

Another comment had less feedback but was equally impressed that Sony has listened to its fandom. “Woah. This is awesome!” said YouTuber SpawnPoiint.

Being able to score yourselves trophies on your computer comes at a time when it’s rumoured that Sony will also be testing a controversial new feature that has fans extremely divided.

Swings and roundabouts, eh?

When one door opens, another closes, and that’s true when it comes to the PlayStation Plus games leaving the service this May. Basically, we can’t have a good thing for too long before something gives and returns the status quo to what we know.

Still, today is about wins, and PS players have certainly got one with the new PC trophies feature.
