Ribeye steak 

Can you brown a steak and then put it in the oven? Or toast it first also & sear it before serve ? Yes, both method working.

* ingredients :

°2-inch thick rib steak (about 2 pounds).

° salt

° ground black pepper

°1 tsp olive oil

°2 tsp un-salted butter

° 3 garlic cloves, lightly crushed

° 2-3 sprigs of fresh thyme

° 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs

° sea salt

* Directions  :

Seasoning steaks with salt also pepper on  plate.

Let it rise for 30 minutes until it reaches room temperature, heat the oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot, then add the meat and cook until a dark crust forms on the bottom, about 6-7 minutes. 

Simmer steak and let it cook for another 6 minutes, then reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary.

Continue cooking, using a spatula to butter the steak in the bottom of the pan and flip steak halfway through, to steak is medium-rare (about 120 degrees), other 5 min. 

Place the steak on a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and sprinkle with unstable sea salt before serving.
