°2 tbsp. active dry yeast
°1/4 tsp. Hot water
°1 C hot milk
°1 1/2 tsp melted butter
°1/4 C. plus 1 tsp. sugar
°3-4 C. all-purpose flour
°1 C. salt
I used my bread machine’s dough setting to do this.
Combine water, yeast and 1 tbsp.
sugar and let stand until frothy, about 7 minutes.
Add the lukewarm milk, the melted butter, 1 beaten egg, the sugar, the salt and then the flour.
I ended up using about 3 1/2 C. of flour.
When finished setting the dough, remove and knead a few more times on a floured surface.
Pinch ball sized pieces & flatten just a touch and placing on greased cookie sheet.
Let rise another hour then bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden on top.
